It’s finally happened! A lover of travel, and in particular cruises, was pleased with the great news. We are talking about opening a new route from Sochi. It will pass along the Black Sea, calling at the cities of Turkey. A Russian entrepreneur, whose name has not been disclosed, bought one of the ships from the cruise company AIDA. The cruise ship “Astoria Grande” is preparing for travel today. Cabin reservations are now available for the 22-23 season
Sea cruises from Sochi to Turkey
Cruise organizers — The shipping company “Aquilon” found a way out of the situation and transferred the ship Аstoria Grande to the management of the Turkish company MIRAY CRUISES. This was done to avoid possible restrictions on visiting other countries. A smart move in my opinion.
Of course, such routes are convenient for Russians. To the port of departure, the city of Sochi — easy to reach by transport convenient for each passenger: plane, train. Yes, even by car, the main thing is to find inexpensive parking for 8 days. This is how long the route lasts for 7 nights.
The snow-white liner Astoria Grande from July 16, 2022, every Saturday will go on a sea cruise in the Black Sea. Since this is a pilot project, there are currently three routes:

The liner is not new, built in 1996, but it is much better than the currently available river ships of the domestic fleet. And, after a recent renovation (December 2021), the cruise ship “Astoria Grande” was tested for compliance with international standards.
So the ship is ready for its debut cruise and will welcome the first Russian tourists on board this summer. The liner has 11 decks and accommodates 1328 passengers.

What else to expect on this cruise
I was pleased that the service fee (tips) is included in the price of the cruise. The organizers borrowed this service from premium cruise lines. But you will have to pay separately for alcohol on board. However, as in any cruise company of the “standard” class and some companies of the “premium” class.
Also, travelers will be pleased with action-packed and inexpensive excursions. They will be in all cities along the route, and can be purchased on board the ship. Payment by Mir card is certain, others are to be confirmed.
Children from 3 to 11 years old travel free of charge, provided that a cabin is booked for two adults. Only port dues are paid.
