Today we will talk about the cruise ship Celebrity Millennium, which translated sounds like «Millennium of Celebrities». I first noticed and studied Celebrity Cruises in more detail when I booked a cruise around the Iberian Peninsula from Lisbon to Barcelona. The ship was different, but it didn’t hurt to be inspired by the idea of the company. The company’s liners (17 units) belong to the premium class, which means the concept of service and services differs from the standard class. I’ll tell you more about this someday.
The huge, blue and white ship Celebrity Millennium, built at the shipyard “Chantiers de l’Atlantique” (France). It is amazing both outside and inside. The COGAS turboelectric installation saves fuel, increased maneuverability makes it possible to do without tugs when docking with berths.
At the beginning of 2019, a renovation was carried out with an increase in the level of environmental friendliness, running parameters, and the addition of a luxury deck “The Retreat”. - A two-story theater with classical performances, musicals, and circus performances;
- Art gallery and library on 2 floors;
- Two cinemas (indoor, outdoor);
- Retreat Lounge with bar, Sky Lounge with dancing until the morning;
- Spa with pool and garden;

The ship has 20 types of comfortable Concierge Class cabins available since 2003. They are a transitional option between the standard and suite classes. The price includes priority boarding/disembarking, restaurant reservations, and spa registration. Special conditions are offered to suite passengers with concierges. 26 cabins are equipped for people with disabilities.
All cabins have:
- Air conditioners;
- plasma TVs;
- hair dryers, safes, minibar;
- cotton bathrobes and towels.

Places for food
The restaurants on the Celebrity Millennium liner are elite, the main one Metropolitan works in 2 shifts. In «Olympic» Tables can be reserved in advance for an additional fee. Qsine features quirky interiors, iPad ordering, and fusion cuisine. Pizza and pasta lovers should choose Ocean Buffet. You will taste caviar and champagne in a restaurant stylized in the 30s, its name is “Platinum Club”.
Choice of cafe according to preferences:
- grill, Italian wines at Tuscan Grille;
- Japanese cuisine at Sushi on Five;
- burgers, pizza, steaks, in Oceanview;
- cakes and coffee at Cova Cafe;
- buffet, fast food at Ocean Cafe.
Please note! There is a separate restaurant for lovers of French cuisine. Exquisite dishes are complemented by exclusive wines.
Leisure for children
The main events are held at the club Fun Factory, from six months to 3 years, the presence of parents is mandatory. Educational interactive toys are age appropriate. Children from 3 years old are divided into 3 groups:
- Comrades – up to 5 years;
- Cadets – 6-8 years;
- Midshipmen – 9-11 years old.
In addition to the club, there is a lawn, sports grounds, and parties are held. Children are taught physical activity and healthy eating. For babies up to one year old, nanny services are free; supervision is available for a fee until 10 p.m. For teenagers there is a club The Tower with discos and thematic programs.
