Remember, I have already described the route of the around-the-world cruise, which starts in early January 2025. At the moment, life is flowing on the ship, and it is sailing through the seas and oceans according to the schedule. I can imagine what emotions passengers will experience on the ocean liner MSC Magnifica.
Well, I propose to consider a completely different option for such a trip, which will take place exactly one year later in 2024. Those who have long dreamed of covering an incredibly large number of countries and cities have time to carefully prepare. Although I myself find it difficult to understand how this can be done. We are not even talking about documents for traveling on a cruise, but about how to drop everything and leave home and work for four whole months. 121 nights — This is how long this round the world cruise lasts. This time I decided not to describe each stop along the route by day, I will only indicate which cities and countries we will see.
Round the world cruise route
The cruise begins and ends in Europe, although there are several options. Their difference is in the landing site and the number of days. That is, the ship performs only one voyage, lasting 4 months along a specific route. But you don’t have to go the entire route; those who wish can join the cruise in different parts of the world. Accordingly, the duration of the voyage will be different.
The ship will depart from the Italian capital Rome, and the journey will end in the German city of Waremünde — this is a complete version of a trip around the world.
At the beginning of the journey, passengers will see almost the entire Mediterranean
- Civitavecchia (Italy)
- Genoa (Italy)
- Marseille (France)
- Barcelona (Spain)
- Palma de Mallorca (Spain)
- Siracusa (Italy)
- Valletta (Malta)
- Limassol (Cyprus)
- Haifa (Israel)
- Port Said (Egypt)
Further along the Suez Canal through Jordan and Saudi Arabia we exit into the Indian Ocean and follow along the coast of Africa. We’ll go to Kenya and then around the islands:
- Zanzibar (Tanzania)
- Port Victoria (Seychelles)
- Port Louis (Mauritius)
- Reunion
- Mozambique (Portuguese island)
Then there will be several stops in the ports of South Africa, and we’ll take a look at Namibia. After a couple of days of sailing he will meet Jamestown (St. Helena Island), and after another four — Brazil. There will also be several stops in different cities.
From Brazil there will be a long journey, as many as 15 days on the way by ship and we will see the sunny islands of the Caribbean:
- Castries, St. Lucia
- Bridgetown, Barbados
- Fort de France, Martinique
- Amber Cove, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic
And after a day at sea we arrive in the Bahamas. We are greeted, I’m not afraid of this word, by an artificially created resort on the island — Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, where you can enjoy all the delights of a beach holiday for 15 hours.
Afterwards we will walk along the east coast of North America. Let’s look at cities such as:
- Miami (USA)
- New York (USA)
- Newport (USA)
- Halifax (Canada)
- Sydney (Canada)
- Charlottetown (Canada)
- Quebec (Canada)
Then Greenland port of Nuuk, and after 3 days of travel at sea we will arrive in Iceland to the cities of Isafjordur and Reykjavik.
And there it’s just a stone’s throw from northern Europe. Let’s start with three UK cities: Belfast, Liverpool and Southampton.
A day later we are in France, the city of Le Havre. Next is the Netherlands, and the round-the-world cruise will end in Germany, the city of Warnemünde.
Ship
The time has come to remove the intrigue and write what kind of ship is going on such a long journey. And the ocean ship MSC Poesia will carry out a round-the-world cruise. Yes, this is not the World Europa megaliner. But it is quite a suitable ship for traveling around the world.
The fact is that the ship calls at different ports of the world, and not all of them are adapted for modern cruise ships with large displacement. That is why ships of this class are sent on around the world cruises.
Around the world trip on a liner price
I’m sure you can guess how much fuel it will take to travel this way, how much food, maintenance, port parking, etc. will be needed. Yes, it’s not cheap. Look, a cabin without a window for this full route costs 2,455,414 rubles. for two without service charge.
I don’t know if anyone wants to spend 4 months in an inner cabin, I definitely couldn’t. And the most suitable, in my opinion, for a trip around the world is a cabin with a balcony — costs from 3,329,030 RUR
Expensive or not — everyone will determine for themselves. We are all different. For some, a week-long cruise on the Persian Gulf costs 40,000 rubles. It’s a little expensive, but for some, spending 3.5 million on a round-the-world cruise is a piece of cake.
In general, it doesn’t matter where, when and how much — just travel. As one former host of the TV show “Heads and Tails” says:
Travel — it’s worth it!
